Tim Patrick Harm: Patrick tears ACL in follow; achieved for the season

Update: The MRI results have come back confirming an ACL injury for Tim Patrick ending his season before it begins. He will be able to rehab and be ready in time for next season, so rest assured give him a shout on Twitter and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Patrick wasn’t the only player Denver lost to a major knee injury today. Running back Demaria Crockett too suffered a season-ending ACL injury. The injury bug hit the team hard today.

Original story: Wide receiver Tim Patrick came down clumsily after making a leaping reception. He went down and was carted off the field with trainers paying particular attention to his right knee area.

If the injury is serious this is a significant blow to the Denver Broncos season because Pádraig is considered green because the teams are two picks behind Courtland Sutton. Patrick signed a three-year, $34 million contract extension last November.

Pádraig had a strong practice up to this point. The team even tweeted out a touchdown reception from Russell Wilson just minutes before the injury occurred.

Patrick will be sorely missed in the offense.
